ERS supports your sanctions, risk and compliance best practices with thorough searches that deliver accurate information used to protect your company. We ensure that our screenings comply with both state and federal regulations, and we are committed to helping you get the information you need to make the right decision.
FACIS is a vast database detailing improper actions of individuals and entities sanctioned in the healthcare field. This includes information on disciplinary actions ranging from exclusions and debarments to letters of reprimand and probation. It is widely used by hospitals, pharmacies, healthcare systems, insurance companies and home health companies in order to meet state and federal hiring regulations.
ERS offers employee background investigations at various FACIS screening levels and this search can be utilized for monthly or annual continual screening.
Another widely used investigation tool for hospitals, pharmacies, insurance companies and other companies in the healthcare field is ERS’s OIG investigations background check.
Through its OIG investigations background check, ERS identifies individuals who have been sanctioned for identity theft or abusing the government healthcare and welfare systems.
Through OFAC, the U.S. Treasury Department administers and enforces economic and trade sanctions based on U.S. foreign policy and national security goals. Of specific interest to OFAC are countries and individuals engaged in terrorism, international narcotics trafficking, those engaged in activities related to the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, and other threats to the national security, foreign policy or economy of the United States.
By incorporating this sanctions background check into your employment screening, ERS can identify whether any job candidate is on the government’s OFAC watch list. This employment investigation is especially relevant to multinational companies or companies hiring foreign staff.
This search is comprised of three different expansive search components for Watch Lists and Sanctions, Politically-Exposed Person (PEP) and Adverse Global Media records.
The Watch Lists and Sanctions component is the most inclusive government published watch list available, utilizing over 1,500 sources with more than 4 million records and is continuously enhanced with newly identified sources. This ensures utilization of accurate data to determine if a subject is barred or has received any type of censure by financial, criminal and/or regulatory authorities globally.
The Politically-Exposed Person (PEP) component provides access to the most current and inclusive government published PEP lists available. This data includes the history of persons of political interest dating as far back as the 1700s and includes target data from over 1,000 sources with more than 3 million records. Official authorities maintain and update these records.
The Global Adverse Media component searches thousands of global news sources, capturing articles of interest from breaking news, current events and relevant media dating back to the early 1900s. Enhanced due diligence is available through the utilization of this search on a subject (person or business entity).
